Safe usernames
Your profile carries a username you choose, not your email address, and the terms require members to keep identifying and contact details off profiles and public areas, including last names, addresses, specific locations, places of work, phone numbers, external links, messenger IDs and social media details. Two things worth knowing when you pick one: members can search by username, so a handle you use elsewhere can be matched to this profile, and your profile is visible to members of the other dating sites this company operates, and to people reaching the service from partner services outside it. Profile pages can also be picked up by search engines, and once a page is cached the site cannot make a search engine drop it; that happens when the engine next re-caches.
A handle you have never used elsewhere is harder to match to you. It is not anonymity: a cached page carrying your photos, town and age can still identify you.
Location privacy
The terms require members to keep addresses and specific locations off their profiles. The site itself can collect your latitude and longitude from your device if you grant it permission, and features that rely on precise location may not be available if you decline. Your profile does carry a town and country, and members can search by city, so choose what you put there with that in mind.
Giving the site your device location is your choice.
Blocking
Block any member from the three-dot menu on their profile, or from the same menu inside your chat with them. You are asked to pick a reason. Once it is done they cannot contact you, search for you, or see your content or activity, and you no longer see their profile. If you change your mind, My Block List under Settings lets you unblock someone.
You can do it yourself from their profile, without going through support.
Reporting
Report a member from the same three-dot menu, on their profile or in your chat with them. The option there is labelled Block & Report, so that route blocks as well as reports. You are asked to select a reason, and depending on the reason you may also be asked to upload supporting documentation such as screenshots. Reporting by that route is anonymous. If you want to report someone without blocking them, or to get a piece of content removed, use the contact form linked at the foot of this page.
The report and anything you attach go to our team to investigate, and the member is not told who raised it.
Explicit content controls
Explicit photos and videos are detected on the platform, and you choose what you see: always show, blur with the option to reveal, blur them from members outside your preferences, or never show. Where a member has explicit media you have not been given access to, you see an alert on their profile and can ask for it, and it arrives in a private message. Some explicit media is reserved for VIP members. Your own explicit media works the other way: if it is on your public profile, other members can request it and it is sent to them in a message, and you can make it private at any time.
The blur setting is yours. What reaches you depends on your membership, and what leaves you depends on whether your media is public.
